SEND

Everyone learns and experiences life in their own way. For some young people, this means needing a bit of extra support at school, college, or in day-to-day life. That’s where SEND support comes in to help you feel confident, achieve your goals, and enjoy life.

SEND stands for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. This includes a wide range of conditions that might affect:

  • Learning – like dyslexia or difficulties with understanding information
  • Physical abilities – like needing equipment to help move around
  • Mental health or emotion wellbeing – like ADHD of autism
  • Communication – like speech delays or finding it hard to express yourself

Looking after your health with SEND

Caring for your physical and mental health is important.

  • Talk to someone: It’s okay to share how you’re feeling with a trusted adult or friend.
  • Stay Active: Find activities you enjoy that suits your needs.
  • Ask for help: Whether it’s about school, friends, or managing your health, support is available.
