COVID - 19

Coronavirus is a type of virus that causes COVID-19.  It can affect people's lungs and breathing. Most people who get COVID will fully recover, however it can be dangerous for some people.

In 2020, most of the world went into lockdown due to Coronavirus. This meant there were times when we couldn’t go to school or work or see people outside our homes.

One of the ways we can protect ourselves is by washing our hands properly.

People who are at increased risk of severe COVID-19 can get a vaccination. You can find out more about the vaccine and how to get one on the NHS website.

Even though the lockdowns are now over, lots of people are still feeling affected by it. If you’re worried about COVID-19 or anything that’s happening, talk to a trusted adult or someone at your school.
