World Suicide Prevention Day 10th September

Teen Health would like to raise awareness of World Suicide Prevention Day on 10th September.

It was first established in 2003 by The International Association for Suicide Prevention in partnership with The World Health Organisation.

The theme this year, as for the last two years, is to ‘Change the Narrative on Suicide’. The purpose of the message is for us to create change together by encouraging open and honest conversations and cultures in our personal lives and the organisations that we are part of, and for people to feel supported and able to talk about their feelings and/or ask for help.

You can also choose to support the day by wearing purple, if appropriate in your school or college!
